The kennels were purchased in May 1990 by Ann & David Robinson, the business to be run by Ann as David has his own Steel Fabrication Business, Cleveland Metalworkers (Quotes given for made to measure steel dog runs or any other fabrication work requirements)
The Kennels & Cattery were in a rather run down state at the time of purchase, so as soon as the busy boarding season quietened down a Builder was employed to do some renovations.
Every year since then, any profits have been re-invested in up-grading
the facilities to meet and exceed the model licence conditions. The kennels have been totally re-wired in 2010 new heaters installed and also fire alarms. The health and safety of pets boarded with us is of our primary concern.
We are fortunate to have Clare working for us since 2001, she is a very loyal, hard working, caring employee who treats the animals in her care as if they were her own. We also have Andrew working most weekends, he has worked here for about 24 years, another caring, reliable employee.
We consider our Staff to be part of our family and we all work together in a very happy atmosphere.
Having boarded our own pets many years ago in sub standard kennels
(we didn’t know any better) we now understand how the Customers feel about leaving their pets for their holidays. We try to make the pets feel at home, giving lots of cuddles and treats (if allowed) and playing with them.
Customers are welcome to inspect the Kennels or Cattery without an appointment during our normal business hours.
